Common questions
Why do I need to bring my own key?
Bundling AI would require us to charge a monthly subscription. By bringing your own key, you only pay for exactly what you use directly to the provider (at cost), and your prompts never pass through our backend.
Where are my API keys saved?
Locally on your machine. Prizmik uses your operating system's native secure credential vault (like Keychain on macOS or Credential Manager on Windows). We never see them.
Are there any free options?
Yes. Google Gemini, Mistral, and Together AI currently offer generous free tiers. You can use those to try out the built-in AI assistant without entering a credit card.
Can I use multiple providers?
Absolutely. You can add keys for as many providers as you want and switch between them on the fly from the chat panel.
